Symphony New Brunswick Announces Concert Postponements
In response to the provincial closure of our theatres and venues and due to the growing threat of the Covid-19 pandemic, Symphony New Brunswick is announcing postponement of its three Bravo Series concerts scheduled for March 21-22, 2020 in Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John. Virtuosos Series concerts of the Saint John String Quartet scheduled for April 2nd in Fredericton; April 4th in Moncton and April 5th in Saint John are also being postponed.
The Symphony’s priority is to protect our musicians and patrons in this period of uncertainty.
At present, the Symphony plans to reschedule all postponed concerts to later in the year and will honour tickets purchased for these events. Season ticket holders, patrons and sponsors will be contacted over the next two weeks with further information.
In view of the evolving nature of the pandemic, the Symphony will re-evaluate the situation in April. Based on the recommendations from the province, we will decide whether or not the remainder of the season can proceed as planned or if further changes will be necessary. We will be keeping in touch with our patrons in unique and interesting ways via our website, and social media channels.
Symphony New Brunswick will be closing the office temporarily to the public and will revisit this decision weekly. Our staff will be working remotely and available through e-mail and social media.
If you would like to make a donation of any amount to Symphony New Brunswick
during this unprecedent time, please do so here.
