SNB’s Camerata group will focus on with music written about NB by NB composers that celebrate the geography, history and cultures of our home, along with two of your favourite Piazzolla works the “Whistle worthy” Dvorak Serenade.

Music from Bach and Beyond

This concert starts with the very famous Bach Suite #1 in C major for orchestra and goes on to illustrate how a trio of sons and a baker’s dozen of grandchildren develop JS Bach’s ideas and influence the rest of classical music history. We add the Canadian, Melissa Hui’s “In the Breath of Night”, which follows the long classical history of the Bach family.

Music for Christmas…Beethoven’s Best!

Canadian Super star, Martin Beaver, joins the Camerata group for the performance of Beethoven’s only violin concerto. Probably the most luscious of Beethoven’s compositions, SNB is proud to welcome Martin back home to the Maritimes for Christmas! The program will also include the Hopewell Rocks Fanfare by Christine Donkin and the sparkling Beethoven Symphony #2.
