This concert starts with the very famous Bach Suite #1 in C major for orchestra and goes on to illustrate how a trio of sons and a baker’s dozen of grandchildren develop JS Bach’s ideas and influence the rest of classical music history. We add the Canadian, Melissa Hui’s “In the Breath of Night”, which follows the long classical history of the Bach family.

The program will also include the Hopewell Rocks Fanfare by Christine Donkin and the sparkling Beethoven Symphony #2.
