Ulises Aragon is a Venezuelan horn player. He was the solo horn in the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra, from 1989 to 2011, performing with world class conductors. As a soloist he mastered the professional horn repertory thorough presentations with the most important orchestras in Venezuela and internationally with orchestras in countries such as Colombia, Ecuador and Miami, USA.
He is recognized because of the creation of the Latin American Horn Academy and his extensive international teaching career, sponsored by the Sistema of Orchestras of Venezuela.
Aragon’s background is backed by a degree in Instrumental Performance from the University Institute of Musical Studies; Performance Diploma from the Conservatory of Music Simon Bolivar, a Diploma from Venezuelan Mozarteum and a Diploma in Orchestral Horn Soloist literature from the Hochschule Fur Musik und Theater in Hannover (Germany).
Currently he continued his career in Canada, teaching in UDM, playing with the Symphony New Brunswick and the wind quintet Ventus Machina.
